An exciting opportunity for the children of Columbus, Ohio!

We are looking for singers, ages 6-12, to participate in the 2010 MLK  Children's Choir!

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for children to perform for the city of Columbus' MLK celebration at Veteran's Memorial Auditorium.  This choir is the finale of the city-wide MLK celebration!  The children will be singing original music composed by the MLK Children's Choir director, Cynthia Gowens.

Because this program is run on a tight schedule due to it being televised, we are looking for children who can:
1. sing well and learn new music quickly
2. listen and follow directions quickly
3. watch and follow the director, and
4. walk quietly and stand quietly while we are backstage.


REHEARSALS:
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
January 12, 13, and 14, 2010
6:30-7:30pm
Location:  Ft. Hayes High School, Building 63, second floor, Room 205

Check in begins at 6:15pm each night.

Attending all 3 rehearsals is highly recommended.
Children are required to attend 2 of the three rehearsals in order to perform.  
Attendance will be taken at each rehearsal.
Parking is free.

LOCATION:  Veteran's Memorial Auditorium
Sound check and parking information will be provided at the rehearsals.

Email your child's name and age to gomusic@aol.com between December 1, 2009 and January 9, 2010.
We are limited to 150 singers so we encourage you to pre-register your child!
On site registration is available the first night of rehearsal only.
