Having a Gowens Children's Music Workshop is a wonderful opportunity for the children who participate, the children's choir directors, and for the church!

For the children, it provides an exciting time of fellowship, learning, and fun! The children not only learn new music, but they also learn about God and His Word while making new friends.

For the choir directors, this workshop enables your children to learn enough music for almost the entire year in a few days! Your job becomes so much easier! All you would need to do is review!

For the church, the anointed music that the children present is always a blessing to the church body! As the children sing the scriptures, it touches and blesses the adults in a unique way. There is no sweeter sound than to hear children's voices singing the Word of God!

The Gowens Children's Music Workshops are customized to fit your specific needs. They can be for a weekend or for a week, based on your schedule. We can prepare the children to sing for morning worship and/or for a concert.

In some cities, the host church joins with other churches in their area to share the expenses of the workshop. You let us know what your ideas are and we will work and pray with you to present the best workshop for your children. We will easily walk you through the process if this is your first time.

Cynthia Gowens is an Awesome Inspiration to me and the children of the Friendship West Baptist Church Music Ministry. She has been our Children's Summer Music Workshop Clinician for the past 7 years, and her Ministry of Music has been such a major blessing to everyone involved!

I first met Cynthia at the Gospel Music Workshop of America over 10 years ago, and immediately I contacted my Minister of Music and requested that we bring her to Dallas for a workshop! Although it took a minute to get her here...she's here, and we're the better for it! I have "kids", who are now in college and who previously were participants in Cynthia's Workshops. They come home every summer and readily ask to assist in working with the Workshop! Her songs transcend age! The fact that her songs are based on scripture, and showcase the talents of the younger generation says a lot for her talents and gifts.

Our workshop caters to ages beginning as young as 2 years old, and those children remember Cynthia's songs and request that we sing them EVERY SUNDAY! I consider it a blessing to my life to know her.

As director of the Children of Praise Children's Choir at the St. Mark Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska, I have had the pleasure of seeing God use Sis. Gowens as a vessel to reach and teach children' about God's love, and His desire for them to grow stronger in His word.

Since 2001, Sis. Gowens has traveled to St. Mark to be the guest clinician at the "City-Wide Children's Music and Fine Arts Workshop". Her ministry has been a blessing and inspiration to all of our children who participate.
